A delivery checklist for wedding galleries

The gallery is the moment the couple decides whether they would recommend you. A few minutes of setup before you hit send makes the difference.

Before you send

  • Cull hard. Four hundred strong images beat nine hundred with duplicates.
  • Order the gallery like the day and use sections so it is easy to scan.
  • Pick a cover that is theirs, not a wide venue shot.
  • Decide on downloads: full resolution, web size, or both, and whether a passcode is needed.
  • Turn on the print store and set your markup.
  • Send a sneak peek within a few days, and the full gallery on the date the contract promised.

The delivery email

Short and warm. The link, the passcode if there is one, how to favorite and download, that prints are available, and a line about sharing. Phlo drafts this from the project and gallery in your voice; you read it and send it.

Questions

How long should galleries stay online?
At least a year. Storage on Phlostate is 250 GB on Standard and 1 TB on Pro, so most photographers keep them up indefinitely.

Try it on your own business
