Invoices your clients pay direct to you
Clients pay straight into your own Stripe account at Stripe’s published rate. Phlostate takes nothing on top. Payment schedules, reminders, autopay, and the option to have the client cover the fee.
Installments and autopay
Split a wedding into a retainer, a second payment and a final balance, each with its own due date. Clients can save a card for autopay so the later installments charge themselves. Failed charges retry and you are told.
Who pays the fee
A switch in Settings lets the client cover the processing fee, priced per method: credit card, or bank transfer at 0.8% capped at $5. Card network rules do not allow a surcharge on debit cards, so by default a debit card is asked to use credit or bank transfer instead; you can choose to accept debit and absorb that fee.
Questions
- Does Phlostate take a cut of my invoices?
- No. Payments go through your own Stripe account. You pay Stripe’s rate and nothing else, and you can pass that on to the client.
- Can clients pay by bank transfer?
- Yes, ACH through Stripe, capped at $5 a transfer.
